We make new covers for most hoop buildings. If you’re looking for quality welded seam barn tarps, you are at the right place. We make custom color and color combination fabric building covers.

Our hoop building replacement covers are made of HDPE, high density polyethylene plastic. It’s a mouthful but this fabric is not a canvas tarp but consists of woven poly strips which make up the core and poly sheets which are bonded to the two surfaces. The tarp will not rip or tear easily because the core is interwoven.

All of our fabric building covers are also UV treated. This helps to protect it from the harmful rays of the sun. The UV treatment also extends the service life of our covers.

In addition to our standard 15 and 20 year building replacement

Some of the brands we’ve already made hoop building replacement tarps for include:

  • BigTop Shelters
  • Kentucky Hoop Barns
  • Coverall Building
  • Farmtek Buildings
  • Silver Stream Shelters
  • Hoop Beef Systems
  • Clearspan Buildings
  • Pro·Tec – Sioux Steel
  • Gold Mountain
  • Suihe/and other Chinese Buildings

Our new fabric shelter covers as well as hoop barn replacement covers are made of HDPE polyethylene plastic. This fabric is not a canvas tarp but consists of woven poly strips which make up the core and poly sheets which make up the two surfaces. The tarp will not rip or tear easily because the core is interwoven.

Polyethylene fabric building covers are also more waterproof than canvas building covers. Water cannot penetrate through these covers.

All of our fabric building covers are also UV treated. The UV coating helps to extend the life of a cover in constant outdoor exposure to the harmful rays coming from the sun and the weather. The top coat treatment also resists mold and mildew.

No. All of our standard colors are the same price. We will tell you that, on the average, a white or very light cover has about a 30% longer life but the choice is yours.

We also offer either 6′ or 12′ stripes of color at the ends if you’d like to dress up your hoop cover just a little.

The only time we do charge for color is when you want a horizontal stripe. They cause a lot of extra work and fabric waste.

You can view our standard colors on our Covers Worksheet page for both our 20 year Elite and Standard 15 year fabric.

Your cover is absolutely guaranteed to be made by the measurements you provide. If it’s not, we’ll replace it no charge, no shipping charge either.

Our standard covers are pro-rata guaranteed for 15 years and our elite covers for 20 years. Pro-rata works much like shingle warranties, 100% covered if they fail in the first year and near zero in the last.

Many times, if a cover has a small hole or tear, it can be repaired. We have fabric repair tape available for this purpose. Extensive damages may require professional repair services.

If your cover was lightweight in the first place, as some brand buildings’ are, or it is toward the end of it’s lifespan, replace it.

It’s an unfortunate fact of life that hoop barn covers wear out or otherwise need to be replaced. Whether a building’s exterior is clapboards, shingles or even steel, they need maintenance and, eventually, replacement.

It is far less work and expense to replace your fabric building cover than other types of roofs and you automatically get new side walls too!

While properly called some fancy name like fabric tensile building covers or some such, what you call our hoop barn covers probably depends on what part of the country you hail from. Our friends from further South than our Dakota location usually ask about building tarps or shed covers. We’ve even supplied hut canvas and fabric membranes in our day and we’re glad to help you with whatever you want to call the cover thing that goes over your fabric building.

The level of difficulty depends largely on the size of the hoop structure and type of cover.

Very large fabric buildings often have keder stripped covers. This means that if one or more sections are damaged, you need only replace that part of your cover. Because of the heights and equipment involved, this service is typically done by professionals.

On the other hand, many people have replaced the cover on smaller buildings themselves or with a little neighborly help. You, or even your contractor, might find our installation quide helpful.

We ask that you fill out our Cover Worksheet with your shipping and billing details as well as your cover measurements. If we have any questions about your cover, we will contact you by email.

If we already have all the answers we need from your Worksheet, we will send you a written Estimate. If everything looks good to you, please approve the Estimate and we’ll convert it to an Invoice. If something needs to be changed or added, please let us know and we’ll fix the Estimate.

Once you have received your Invoice, you will usually have the option to pay half down and half when your cover is ready to be shipped. On occasion, we may ask for full payment up front if your cover is very small or shipment is 3 weeks or less out.

We use online invoicing so you will have a number of payment methods available. We encourage you to write an e-check or bank transfer or even mail us a paper check rather than a credit card to help us keep our costs and prices low. How you pay is certainly your choice however.

Our tarp hoop covers can be shipped to most locations in as little as two to three weeks. We can also do rush orders when necessary.

Where we are located in the Upper Midwest, you can expect our standard cover to be serviceable for 20 to 25 years. Our Elite covers have not yet been fully time tested by us but we’re hoping for 30.

However, cover life largely  depends on how hot a place is. Hoop building covers in areas such as Florida, Arizona, Texas and Southern California, will have a shorter service life.

We offer a 15 and 20 year limited warranty on our covers so we certainly expect they will outlast the warranty.

Cover prices are figured on total square footage for the most part. A few things can add to the cost: an extra pipe pocket, horizontal stripes, cable in Conestoga end pockets, or hardware.

However, materials cost is only one part of a cover. The labor is about the same for a small cover as bigger one. That is why very small covers cost a bit more per square foot.

At the time of this writing (6/26), both our 15 and 20 year standard covers are priced under $1.25 per square foot at worst. Fire resistant and total fire are on average .50¢ higher.  We have been told by our suppliers that we will have a price increase.

We have also been told by our own customers that our replacement cover prices are too low! They ask if the quality is as good as the more expensive places. We tell them that it’s better! We feel greedy price gouging is not a commerce style for a company that wants to make the world a better place.
